Creaspine restructuring to focus on sales
Mindful of the current market conditions, the Creaspine shareholders and executive management agreed on a restructuring plan.
As such, focus is on spine organic sales with R&D to effectively support sales. Creaspine will also gather meaningful clinical evidence to further establish its product portfolio claims.
The plan, effective at the beginning of 2012, bears the following changes: Marc Bernard has become the new Creaspine President and CEO. Philippe Jenny has decided to pursue new opportunities outside Creaspine.
« Creaspine will focus on its core fusion spine business and deliver creative innovation and services to the spine pathologies », says Marc Bernard.
« The past year has taught us that one cannot supply the industry with disruptive innovation, when shareholder value is more seen as coming from growing traditional spine franchises, mainly through M&A and broadening of the distribution networks That is what Creaspine will do from now on: focus on sales and outstanding service to our surgeon customers and distribution partners. », added Franck Tricot, the new VP Business Development & General Manager.
The next offering Creaspine will focus on is a patented brand new IBD cage called L-Sense that deforms to conform to the anatomy and share the load more evenly across the endplates. The current SupStance PEEK VBR offering for tumor and trauma indications will also be fully deployed globally to better serve customer needs.

The new organization will help external partners better liaise with Creaspine and it is expected that its global reach will further develop.
